Join us to celebrate the longest day with 108 sun salutations
Service Description
The summer solstice, our longest day- is on 21st June and is often celebrated in the yoga community. Both the shortest and longest days are recognised by doing 108 sun salutations, if you are new to this bi-annual celebration it is linked to the female and male energy in the cosmic and spiritual world and the practice itself is a seen as a moving meditation. There are variations within the sun salutations that can make the journey manageable for whatever level you are working it. This includes a 12 breath arm variation for those wishing to join us but not take the physical practice too far. At this time of year, working towards 108 is a wonderful goal to help us build up stamina in the body and focus in the mind. If you’d like to join us for the practice of summer solstice it will take place on Monday 22nd June 10-12noon at YogaK Wellbeing Studio. Following the completion of the sun salutations we will enjoy a relaxation/ meditation. Cost is £35 - mats, blocks, blankets all provided.
